I love this picture. It shows how genuine a mother's love is!!
It is one picture from a family session I did. There was also dad and an older sister. They were so much fun to shoot! I hope this picture makes you smile just a little like it did me.

mothers day present
This session was purchased by the subjects sister in law as a mother's day present. I love when people purchase photographs for presents. You are giving a gift that will last a lifetime and be enjoyed by many.
This subject whether she knows it or not, was very photogenic. I took my time on the editing and played with textures and some other various additions to her images.
I really like this image, I think it is simple, yet has a little bit of an "edge" to it with the overlay on the left side.
I am truly blessed to get to do what I do and I enjoy it every day!

new light textures
Well, I've begun to play with textures a little. I added a "light texture" to this photo. I also have some other textures, but haven't gotten to play with them....yet.
This photo was one taken during a Palestine Photography Club workshop. Where we worked with various models and shared tips for shooting, posing, and working with different age groups.
I like the light overlay in this picture, but we'll see how the other textures work out.

Pro Bono...

I've been doing a lot of free shoots lately, and doing contests to give away free shoots. This picture is from one of those shoots.
I was supposed to have a Westwood High School student shadowing me on tuesday, so I set up a photoshoot, free of charge so she would have something to shadow. This baby was one of the lucky recipients. The student never showed up, but we had a great time, and got lots of great shots! I'm glad we did this one.
Why do pro bono work you might ask? Well, God didn't give me this talent so that I could become rich, he gave it to me so that I could give back to others. That is what I am doing. Whether it is through free photo shoots or by giving profits to charity, it is what brings me joy and helps me to give back. Giving back is a very important part of why i do what I do. That is why I strive to keep my prices low.
I announced just today that 10% of the profits from diaper divas and diva darlings will go to buckner international to help children who need families.
I love what I do, and I love this talent that God has blessed me with.

Sorry I've been kind of behind on my posting. I've done tons of last minute senior shoots and senior invites. I've been SUPER busy, but now I have time to do a couple of posts for you,
This picture is of the last 2 girls i did a senior shoot with. The are twins, I was reluctant to take them on because I wasn't sure that I could get their pictures back to them in time, but I did take them on. And, I'm glad I did because they photograph beautifully, It left me with a lot of really good shots. They are both very photogenic.
I'm glad all the end of school stuff is over, looking forward to a great summer with lots of possibilities of great photographs! I feel like I can breathe a little now.
Life is so good!

This is a photo from a recent shoot i was blessed to do. I got to photograph this sweet little baby with his adoptive parents and birth mom before he left the hospital.
It was a bit of a challenge, photographing in the hospital, without my bean bag, my lights, and just using what was available, but i am very happy with the results.
Such a sweet baby boy, and God's love will always surround and follow him.
